High Performance Computing

Wayne State University Computing & Information Technology manages High Performance Computing (HPC), or the Wayne State Grid. This system is designed for big data projects, offering centrally-managed and scalable computing capable of housing and managing research projects involving high-speed computation, data management, parallel and distributed computing, grid computing and other computationally intensive applications. The Wayne State Grid is connected to the global research community via Wayne State's science DMZ, Internet2 and the Michigan LamdaRail.

The C&IT HPC team provides assistance and consulting services to the campus teaching and research communities, and is the main foundation for a number of grants. Here you'll find resources specifically compiled to assist faculty, help out HPC new-comers, and researchers alike. Tutorials are also available to help navigate users through using HPC tools, making it easier to access the tools needed to complete research.
